88 Ways To Know You Are Chinese

1. You look like you are 18.
well, i AM 18, what can i say?
2. You like to eat chicken feet.
yeah, but only if my mother cooks it. otherwise i wont even look at it
3. You suck on fish heads and fish fins.
fish head no, fish fins sometimes.. but that doesnt happen often
4. You have a Chinese knick-knack hanging on your rear view mirror.

5. You sing Karaoke.
no, i dont
6. Your house is covered with tile.
yes they are. wow, i'm starting to think i have lots of chinese mix malay /indian/ other races and ethnics friends who have houses covered with tiles
7. Your kitchen is covered by a sticky film of grease.
that only happens righta after we are done with cooking. fyi: i help my mum clean the grease ok. common, dont tell me you kitchen doesnt have any grease at all
8. Your stove is covered with aluminum foil.
i believe it is covered with aluminum, but not aluminum foil (p/s: why is it spelled alumiNUM not alumiNIUM?)
9. You leave the plastic covers on your remote control.
i thought all remote control covers are made of plastic? but i dont have any transparent plastic on my remote
10. You've never kissed your mom or dad.
who say so? i still get my annual kisses on my birthdays!
11. You've never hugged your mom or dad.
i still hug my mum a lot
12. Your unassisted vision is worse than 20/500.
i may be wearing thick glasses, thick enough to be considered blind. but my vision aint 20/500. it much better than that
13. You wear contacts, to avoid wearing your "coke bottle glasses".
not true, coz i dont like contacts, makes my eyes dry

no, i prefer cash

i thought malaysia's petrol are standard price? btw, i dont drive. and i'd rather just pay for what's available than go waste my time and gas looking for cheaper gas. beats the purpose.

before 8pm only. my mum would kill me with her nag if i shower/ bath at night
21. You avoid the non-free snacks in hotel rooms.
ya, true! it's double triple the price what! why waste money?

i dont mind being one of the 20 people, but i've never squeeze 20 people nor being 1 of the 20 people being squeezed into one motel room
23. Most girls have more body hair than you, if you are male.

haha! typical =)
26. You don't want to wear your seatbelt because it is uncomfortable.

i do unwrap christmas gift and birthday gifts carefully, but not because i want to reuse the paper. even though "save the tree" is written all over me, i dont reuse gift wrappers
29. You only buy Christmas cards after Christmas, when they are 50% off.
i'm worst than that, i dont even buy christmas cards. well, i do, but only a few pieces that i can afford, full price.
30. You have a vinyl table cloth on your kitchen table.

i have a dining table ok. and it's not IN the kitchen

yeah. haha. but i thought the pick is only available in sabah? hahaha!

yeah, bad habit. even the chinese motivator told us not to do that, it's distracting.

yes. hye, there's lots of people out there starving you know!
42. You have Tupperware in your fridge with three bites of rice or one leftover chicken wing.

the above statement is true, but i do own real tupperware. which includes, those with the word TUPPERWARE imprinted.
44. You also use the jam jars as drinking glasses.
my parents can afford to buy proper drinking cup and glasses, and they are not cheap
45. You have a collection of miniature shampoo bottles that you take every time you stay in a hotel.
yes, they work wonders when i'm travelling and camping =)
46. You carry a stash of your own food whenever you travel (travel mean any car ride longer than 15 minutes). These snacks are always dried and include dried plums, mango, ginger, and squid.
nope! only LONG distant journey. long distance = more than 2 hours
47. You wash your rice at least 2-3 times before cooking it.
ya lah! can cook the rice without rinsing it meh? got lots of husk leah!!

partially right. he will try to fix it before calling the repairman

one, my family dont own honda. two, there's not even a single small toy in any of the cars

as a matter of fact, our hand is our weighing scale and measuring cups. what can i say? =)

you should get me one for my birthday! oh nevermind, i just noticed my birthday had passed.

i thought it's 20 cents? never mind, i dont do either. i need phone number, i'll check my phone or get from friends.
54. You only make long distance calls after 11pm.

not jus chinese films, but all films.
p/s: i've never watched dubbed chinese films

you mean 'bi dan/ pi tan'? it's called century eggs but i'm very sure century is hundred year old and and not thousand year old

nope, not me.

duh! of coz la! if i call them, then i'll talk about A-Z
63. If you don't live at home, when your parents call, they ask if you've eaten, even if it's midnight.
that only happens in chinese speaking family (and i'm not one). the parents says "chi bao le ma?" literally means have you eaten. it's actually a form of greeting and courtasy
64. When you're sick, your parents tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods due to yeet hay.
what's yeey hay?
65. You know what yeet hay is.
no, and i ask my dad, and he has no idea either.
66. You e-mail your Chinese friends at work, even though you're only 10 feet apart.
i dont work, but yes this happens. i text my friends and family even though they are 10 feet away
67. You use a face cloth.

68. You starve yourself before going to all you can eat places.
haha! yes but no. i dont starve myself

ya! until one of my JLs had to point out a few times that i eat too 'clean', to the last grain ^^

  1. yeet hay is cantonese. u don't speak cantonese? LOL. yeet hay means heaty. :) and most of the facts are trying to say chinese are very "cheap".

    it's a known fact that chinese are stingy, but not to the point that we use jam jars as drinking cups! lol
